ASUS VivoBook S15 (S531) Review

We review the VivoBook S15 (S531)! ASUS’  VivoBook S line  was originally made to attract younger buyers with its sculpted lines, slim chassis, unconventional color choices, and more importantly, an attractive price point. ASUS hopes to rake in even more millennial buyers with its redesigned VivoBook S15, which is now dressed up with an aluminum top lid with three dazzling color options: Punk Pink, Moss Green, and Cobalt Blue. Aside from the new colors, the new, refreshed model has a bevy of hardware improvements including a more powerful GPU, which makes it feel as premium as ASUS’ aluminum-clad Zenbook line. Definitely eye-catching with vast color choices While the VivoBook S15 (S531) comes in five colors, our review unit’s Punk Pink motif is the most eye-catching between the five. The Punk Pink aluminum lid changes its shade to a deep red-like hue depending on the lighting. Moss Green accentuate the top lid’s side panels, while blush pink covers the polycarbonate key

The new ASUS VivoBook S15 is an affordable notebook with discrete NVIDIA graphics

ASUS has announced the local availability of its new VivoBook S15 (S531) laptop, which we first saw back at  Computex . The new S15 notebook boasts a thin-bezel NanoEdge display that gives it more compact dimensions and a more immersive viewing experience. In addition, it has an ErgoLift hinge that elevates the keyboard and makes it more comfortable to type on, while also improving airflow at the bottom of the notebook.  Here's an overview of its specifications: 15.6-inch 1,920 x 1,080-pixel display Intel Core i7-8565U processor (1.80GHz, 8MB L3 cache) 8GB DDR4-2400 RAM NVIDIA GeForce MX250 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD 42Wh battery 357.2 x 230.3 x 18mm 1.8kg The biggest differences coming from the  older S15 (S530)  are probably the slimmer bezels and smaller footprint. The S15 (S531) also now comes in Moss Green and Transparent Silver, each with accents to complement and enhance its colour-blocking. For instance, the Moss Green colour is paired with accents

When we reviewed the ASUS VivoBook Ultra A512 a few months ago, we expressed our love for its simplicity and especially in the design department. It stood out from the crowd while looking as simple as possible. Today, we have the brand new ASUS VivoBook S15 S531F that was  first shown off during Computex 2019 . There are a couple of interesting things to take note of with the new VivoBook S15 S531F as there are a lot more changes than meets the eye.
